“As a result of business foresight, investment in technology, monitoring the market environment and listening to our clients, we’ve streamlined processes and introduced new coverage solutions which has improved our product offering and operations,” says Andrew Branoff, CEO of AIC.
AIC recognized many years ago that the data-driven world today is increasingly connected by technology. To this end, it harnessed data for analytics and insights to enable knowledge-based decision making. It proactively invested in technology and developed a proprietary system that captures every material transaction data point, including underwriting, loss history, accounting, claims and loss control recommendation data.

“I’ve lead the programming, design and development of our proprietary transactional database for over a decade since its infancy. Leveraging technology to innovate automated processes enables scalability and has added great efficiency to our operations,” says Chris Kasprzyk, Director of Operations and Information Technology at AIC.
“Our office is empowered by our proprietary technology – creating and sending quotes, creating and sending certificates and invoices; its all automated and instead of spending countless hours on manual processes we have more time to service our clients,” says Karen Russell, Account Services Director at AIC.
“Every location written by our office has all underwriting information, loss history, prior placement coverage and transaction detail stored in our database; sometimes writing new business means returning to a lapsed client to win-back their account.
Our bespoke computer system puts the necessary information to market and win-back those accounts at my fingertips,” says Courtney Carbone, Business Development Department Leader at AIC.
“The augmented third-party data that we’ve merged into our company database enables us to easily refer to wind and hail scores – for both frequency and severity, crime scores, etc. Access to this additional data has improved our ability to analyze risk and identify opportunity,” says Russell Butler, Senior Underwriting Manager at AIC.

AIC strives to competitively offer all the core coverages needed by property owners and managers – property coverage, general liability coverage and excess liability coverage. In doing so, it creates and accesses niche proprietary products – its habitational property program is an exclusive proprietary offering only available through its office.
AIC conducts environmental scanning and innovates coverage solutions to support its clients. For example, in the current market environment, carriers force client to higher valuations connected to inflation-adjusted construction costs. Last year, AIC created a premium relief option for clients, authoring an endorsement that defines a per-square foot building valuation threshold resulting in dynamic coverage – ranging from blanket per location limit to building specific limit with occurrence limit of liability.![]()
